now when building this at home…are you using the 200mm or 350mm lenght for the linear rail? the youtube link goes to the 350mm, while the link on “buy it now” goes to the 200mm version. i watched the video a couple of times – but didn’t get the sense of which one you were using. i’ll take stab that it’s probably the 200mm since the z-axis range is 155mm.
Ah, we’re recommending the 200 because it will cover the full range without having to be cut down, but originally we started with the 350 and cut it to match the length of the support. Sorry for the confusion!
Hi,
What measurement are correct? According to my CAD program, I don’t get the same dimensions when downloading the Inventor 2018 files and the STEP file? When comparing the STEP file to the online version, that seems to be identical, and the Inventor 2018 files are off but what is the correct one?
Best regards,
Christian
Let me check with Mike, but it’s probably correct in Fusion since that’s where he modeled it. Just as a quick-check with a scale and an existing part it looks like the outside dimensions are ~3.6 x 2 x 1″.
I downloaded the file to fusion360 and it’s incomplete! there is only the pillar and sketch of the adapter without the drilling, much less the 3D model

Correction, it’s the Fusion 360 Archine compared to the Inventor 2018 files and the STEP file, that don’t have the same dimentions – sorry

Where is the model of the mount? it only has post inside… I need the clamp it self so i can carve it for my photon
Fusion 360 archive give an empty project file. nothing inside
Hey, the link here takes you to only the extrusion modifications not the block, was this removed on purpose? If not where might I get it?
ok, should be fixed now. sorry about that. it seems the fusion link only shows you what i have visible in the model.
Hey Mike,
The Autodesk DL still gives me an empty Project and the F360 ist still just a drawing.
Any possibilities to get the rigth project?
It still is showing up blank no matter what file type I download.
Any updates on the broken 3D Part? @Mike?
I downloaded FBX and it it EMPTY!? What type of model is not empty?
