Text Launcher – Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Published by Physics Anonymous, LLC

Text Launcher is a text-only home screen for Android. It is built to work entirely on your phone. It does not collect, store remotely, share or sell any personal data.

No internet access

The app does not request Android's internet permission, so it cannot send anything off your device. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking code.

What stays on your device

To work as a home screen, the app reads the list of apps installed on your phone that have an icon in the app drawer, so it can show and open them. It saves your launcher settings (such as which apps are on the homescreen, custom names, hidden apps, colors and fonts) in its own private storage on your phone. If you choose a background image, a copy of that one image is saved in the same private storage. None of this leaves your device, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Permissions

The only permission the app uses is Request delete packages (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES). It lets the app open Android's own “Do you want to uninstall this app?” screen when you choose Uninstall. The app cannot uninstall anything without your confirmation on that system screen. Background images are picked with Android's system photo picker, so the app has no access to your other photos or files.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
